Music Room Friends

Music teachers have always utilized a variety of singing games to engage students in the classroom while giving them a strong foundation to learn musical concepts.  In the past, these games were enjoyed by students both in the music room and during unstructured play such as at recess and after school. 

 

Unfortunately, many students, especially those in the inner city, lack access to open spaces and free time with other children to play these games outside of class.  This, combined with larger class sizes, increasingly challenging student behavior, frequent schedule changes, and reduced time for music in schools has made it more difficult to support quality music programs in elementary schools.  

 

Music Room Friends, founded by an experienced Elementary Music Teacher, has created a fun and interactive solution to this stressful situation with the goal of supporting Music Teachers and their students in optimizing their class time and allowing learners to practice quality repertoire at home.  With our games and hybrid curriculum, "Fun is the focus, learning is immersive."

 

The Music Room Friends program (scheduled to launch in early 2025) supports educators in bringing their classes to life through puppet personalities, memorable stories, and interactive digital games students can use in the classroom and at home. By reducing the time needed to teach repertoire and increasing student engagement, music teachers can spend less time managing behavior and more time making music with students.
